Abstract

【課題】転写効率、微小ドット再現性、クリーニング性、低温定着性、電荷安定性、カラー画像のOHP透過性にすぐれ、又消費電力の少ないトナー及び画像形成装置を提供する。 【解決手段】層状無機鉱物の層間のイオンの少なくとも一部を有機物イオンで変性した変性層状無機鉱物を含むトナー材料を有機溶媒中へ溶解乃至分散させ、該溶解乃至分散物を水系媒体中へ分散させ造粒することで得られるトナー母体粒子を外添処理したトナーにおいて、前記トナーは平均円形度が0.925〜0.970であって、前記トナー母体粒子のBET比表面積(Sbet)と前記トナーの体積平均粒径(Dv)の比Sbet/Dvが2.0×10 5 m/g以上4.0×10 5 m/g未満であることを特徴とするトナー。 【選択図】図1
<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having excellent transfer efficiency, reproducibility of microdots, cleaning property, low temperature fixability, charge stability, and OHP transmittance of a color image, and low power consumption, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The toner includes toner base particles subjected to an external addition treatment. The base particles are obtained by dispersing or dissolving a toner material containing a modified lamellar inorganic mineral which is prepared by at least modifying a part of interlayer ions in a lamellar inorganic mineral with ions of organic substances, in an organic solvent, and dispersing the dissolved or dispersed material in an aqueous medium and granulating the dissolved or dispersed material. The toner has an average circularity ranging from 0.925 to 0.970, and a ratio Sbet/Dv of a BET specific surface area (Sbet) of the toner base particles to the volume average particle diameter (Dv) of the toner is 2.0×10<SP>5</SP>m/g or more and less than 4.0×10<SP>5</SP>m/g. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
